Return Policy
RETURN & EXCHANGE ELIGIBILITY
We offer our customers the opportunity to return or exchange their item within 30 days of the order being ready for collection or delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
- The return must be initiated within 30 days, and the item must be returned within 7 days of notifying us.
- The item must be in its original, unworn condition, free from damage or alteration.
- All original documents, packaging, and materials (including any GIA reports) must be included.
- Items must be securely and properly packaged—returns that are improperly packaged will be refused upon receipt.
- Returns with missing paperwork or missing product(s) will not be processed.
Please note the following important exclusions:
- Custom-made jewellery is non-refundable
- Earrings are non-returnable due to hygiene reasons
- Any ring that has been resized is non-refundable
- Any item that has been engraved is non-refundable
- Items that have been altered by anyone other than Robert Cliff Master Jewellers are not eligible for return
- If you return an item and exchange it, the second item is non-returnable
- Lay-bys: Cancelling a lay-by after 15 days from the order date will result in the loss of the initial 30% deposit
Although we offer free shipping for all outgoing orders, we kindly ask that you cover the cost of return shipping.
Once we receive and inspect your return through our Quality Assurance department, any applicable refunds will be processed within 7 business days.
MAKING AN EXCHANGE
If you wish to exchange your ring for a different one, we’re happy to assist you. Exchanges must be requested within 30 days of receiving your order.
Please note:
- Customers are kindly asked to cover the return shipping cost
- Custom-designed items are not eligible for exchange or refund

RESIZING YOUR RING
We offer one complimentary ring resize with every purchase, valid within 90 days of receiving or collecting your order.
Before proceeding with a resize, please review our Return & Exchange Policy, as resized items are not eligible for return or exchange.
Additional Resizing Requests
If you require a second or additional resizing after the initial complimentary resize (or outside the 90-day complimentary period), we’re happy to assist.
For Australian customers, we kindly ask that you either:
- Bring the ring to our showroom in person, or
- Cover the cost of shipping the ring back to us
We will return the resized ring to you free of charge.
For international customers needing resizing, aftercare, or inspection services, please contact our Customer Care Team at shop@rcmj.com.au to arrange the return process and receive further assistance.
THE RETURN PROCESS
Once we receive your returned item in its original, unworn condition, our Quality Assurance Team will carefully inspect it. This includes verifying the diamond’s weight and matching it against the original grading certificate.
After successful inspection, your refund will be processed within 4 to 5 business days via the original method of payment. Please note that depending on your location and payment provider, it may take up to 7 business days from the date we receive the item for the refund to appear in your account.
HOW TO PREPARE A RETURN
To ensure your return is processed smoothly, please follow the three-step return process outlined below:
1. Initiate Your Return
Contact our Customer Care Team at shop@rcmj.com.au to notify us of your return. Be sure to include your order reference number. You’ll be provided with the correct return shipping address and further instructions.
2. Package Your Return Carefully
Please include:
- The item in its original condition
- All original packaging and documentation, including the diamond grading certificate (this cannot be replaced)
Important Security Notice:
For your safety and insurance purposes, do not write “jewellery” or “Robert Cliff Master Jewellers” anywhere on the parcel.
Instead, label the return as:
ROBERT CLIFF
3. Ship Your Return
From within Australia:
Use Express Post with Signature on Delivery and ensure the parcel is insured. Obtain a tracking number and a receipt, and forward both to your point of contact at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers.
From outside Australia:
Use FedEx for international returns. Address details will be provided by our team during the return initiation. Be sure to forward your tracking number to your assigned contact.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- If return instructions are not followed, Robert Cliff Master Jewellers will not accept responsibility for loss or damage during transit.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns that are improperly packaged or missing documentation.
