Our Custom design service is what makes Robert Cliff Master Jewellers unique.
To start, you’re assigned a personal Master Jeweller consultant, who will bring your ideas to life in the form of a 3D CAD (computer-aided design). Based on your requirements and price point, they’ll help you select a centre gemstone or diamond.
The design can be amended as many times as you want until it is perfect.
Once you’re happy with your design we place your order online or instore.

Once you’re ready, you can browse our site for inspiration or if you have any ideas you can submit an enquiry HERE.
You’ll then be asked to share a little more infomation about your ideas and requirements. You’ll be assigned a personal Master Jeweller who will review your enquiry and get in touch.
You can speak with your Master Jeweller via email, phone call or Zoom. Alternatively, you can schedule a consultation at our Sydney Showroom to meet in person.

We have over 1,000,000 diamonds on our diamond search tool that have corresponding photos and videos.
We can send you high definition videos via email or text or you can come instore to view it.
In addition, we purchase our diamonds and gemstones directly from the polishing companies that cut them. By cutting out the middlemen, we can pass the savings on to you.
YES! – Our complimentary engraved inscription is done by laser. If you would like an additional inscription to add detail to any jewellery item, we can include this in your order. (Free of charge)
If an engraved ring has to be resized a second time and then re-engraved, a fee of $100 will apply for the second resize and inscription.
If you engrave an item it will voids the return policy!
Yes! If you have inherited, purchased or received your diamonds elsewhere, we can still create your bespoke ring.
Our policy for any diamonds or jewellery you provide us are as follows:
- If your diamond is uncertified, we would love to view and examine it in person before confirming if we can use it.
- We kindly ask that you send/bring your diamonds, gold or gemstones to us at your own expense.
- Diamonds must meet our minimum quality standards. If the stone is chipped scratched or damaged we will not use it.
- If your diamond is not graded or certified, we can get it certified at GSL Laboratory in Sydney, Price is $300.
- If you require a valuation at the end of the design process for insurance purposes it will cost you $250

We understand that one size doesn’t fit all.
For our Australian customers, we offer one free ring resize with every purchase within 90 days of receiving or collecting your order.
Second or additional resizings outside of this 90 day period will cost you $150.

It’s pretty uncommon to know your partner’s exact ring size, so not to worry if you’re unsure. If asking them out-right isn’t an option we have numerous ways to find out by following the suggestions from our ring size guide. Our ring size guide should provide you with some options as you must have an approximate ring size before you place your order.
The process of resizing a ring entails the careful addition or removal of small amounts of metal from the original ring, achieving the desired new size without any noticeable alteration.
In most cases, rings can be resized up or down by up to four sizes.
At Robert Cliff Master Jewellers, our master jewellers adhere to quality control standards to reduce the risk of breakage and ensure resized rings fit perfectly.
After resizing, we clean and polish the ring before returning it to you.

Yes, there are many ways to find your partner’s ring size without them knowing. If they already own some rings, this is an easy way to find their size. Asking family or friends is another tactic. Read How to Measure Ring Size for a Surprise Proposal to learn all the ways to secretly find a ring size.
To measure ring size at home you can wrap paper or string around your finger, mark the place where the material meets, and then measure the length with a ruler. Read our Ring Sizing Guide for more step-by-step details.
We offer our customers the opportunity to return or exchange their items within 15 days of their order being ready for collection or delivery.
We do not accept refunds for custom made jewellery.
We do not accept returns on earrings. While we do offer all customers free shipping when delivering your order, we kindly ask you to cover the shipping charge when returning to us.
To be eligible for a refund, the customer must initiate the return within 15 days and must return it within 7 days of notifying us. The item must be returned in its unworn and original condition without any damage, and with all accompanying documents and materials.
Our Quality Assurance department will review the returned items. Items that show signs of wear or have been altered, resized not by Robert Cliff Master Jewellers, or damaged, are unable to be returned.
If you choose a design which is non-resizable, then the ring mount is not covered by our returns policy. In any case where our standard return policy does not apply due to design features, your consultant will inform you of this in advance of you making your purchase.
Improperly packaged shipments will be refused upon receipt. Returns with missing paperwork (including the GIA report) or product(s) will not be processed.
If you return your order and exchange it for another ring, the second ring is non-returnable
Lay-buys – If you cancel your lay-buy after 15 days of placing the order you will lose your initial 25% deposit.
If you want to make an exchange for a different ring within 15 days of receiving your order, we’ll gladly arrange this for you. We kindly ask that you cover the shipping charge when returning the ring to us.
(Custom designed items are not eligible for exchange or a refund)
For our customers, we offer one free ring resize with every purchase within 90 days of receiving or collecting your order.
Second or additional resizing outside of this 15 day period.
Australian customers, we kindly ask that you bring the ring back to our showroom and/or cover the cost of shipping the ring back to us, but we’ll ship it back to you free of charge.
For overseas customers that require resizing, aftercare, or an inspection, please get in touch with our Customer Care Team via shop@rcmj.com.au to assist with the return shipment.
Upon receiving your returned item in its original condition, the diamond will be weighed and checked against its corresponding grading certificate and our quality assurance experts will evaluate the jewellery piece.
Your refund will then be processed in the following 4 to 5 business days and be paid using the original method of payment. This may take up to 7 days from receipt of the jewellery, depending on your location/payment method.
The following three-step process must be adhered to in order to successfully return an item to Robert Cliff Master Jewellers and receive a refund:
Initiate your return: Contact our Team or email shop@rcmj.com.au stating you’d like to make a return as well as providing your order reference number. They’ll instruct you on an appropriate shipping address.
Packaging your return: Please include all the original packaging and additional materials – make sure you include your diamond grading certificate as replacing this certificate is not possible. For security reasons,
DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ABOUT JEWELLERY OR ROBERT CLIFF MASTER JEWELLERS.
Simply write ROBERT CLIFF.
Shipping your package from Australia:Â Please return the ring to us using Signature on delivery (Express Post) using the option with insurance included. When shipping your package, ensure you request both a tracking number and receipt and forward these to your point of contact at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers.
Shipping your package from Outside Australia: Please return your order to us using FED EX – address details will be provided by the customer care team at time of initiation. Ensure you forward the tracking number to your point of contact at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers.
If the return instructions are not followed, Robert Cliff Master Jewllers will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to returned shipments.
Robert Cliff Master Jewellers withholds the right to refuse returns that are improperly packaged.

Although we provide free shipping on all outbound orders, we kindly ask customers to cover the cost of return shipping.
Yes! We proudly ship worldwide, although there may be an additional shipping charge for most countries outside Australia.
All shipped orders are fully insured and tracked. We’ve got an excellent delivery record with their Special Delivery service.
