Competitions are fun. Especially for the winners! And it makes for thoroughly engaging viewing when the competition is tight. Well, our ‘Win Your Wedding Rings’ promotion certainly didn’t disappoint.
We invited people to share the story of their marriage proposal and at stake, was $3,000 worth of wedding ring(s). All they had to do was post their stories on our website and the winning entry was simply the couple who received the most ‘likes’.
We thought we’d get some good stories, and we anticipated a number of people entering, but we were overwhelmed by the response, and, more importantly, by the romantic, clever, quirky, loving stories we read! There are some real romantics out there and we at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers are delighted to have found you all!
We are always saying that we are “purveyors of happiness”; that being in the jewellery business is one of the most rewarding and joyful things anybody could do. We help people create and celebrate moments and our competition was designed to celebrate the act of “proposing” by rewarding a couple with wedding rings that will help ensure their ceremony is that little bit more memorable and joyful.
There were so many worthy entries. We would read them as they came in and the girls in the office and showroom would swoon at the more romantic ones. But it was for the public to decide, not the staff or management at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers and ‘like’ them, they did, on mass. There were thousands of likes, and amazingly, only a few separated the winners from the runners-up. Greg Thompson & Hayley McCrea earnt a $300 voucher as our favourite entry for their Taronga Zoo, Sydney sleep over proposal that surprised Hayley who was expecting to have the question “popped” a little earlier!
The winners are a gorgeous couple Chantal Bitti and Daniel Llamas, whose proposal took place atop the ‘Observation Deck’ of the Rockefeller Centre in New York where Daniel managed to get the ring through security without alerting Chantal and have another tourist photograph the moment as he popped the question. And if that’s not romantic enough, it was on Chantal’s birthday!
We’re delighted that you’ll both be ‘rocking’ RCMJ wedding rings on your special day and wish every couple who entered, all the very best for their weddings and lives together.
