The Gold Cup 2015 is to be held at the Sydney Polo Club, located 50 minutes from Sydney CBD on Sunday, 18th of October 2015. This exclusive event will be joined by 30 polo teams, riders and showjumpers from all over Australia and many international guests who will be competing for the prestigious Gold Cup and the cash prize of over $90,000.
The Showjumping competition is a 3-day event that will be held from October 16th to October 18th. A National Competition that will be joined by around 250 riders from interstate. The 2-star event is the prequalified for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Additional 350 horses are expected to be brought to the Club. Prestige and vintage cars from Corvette Club, Daimler Lanchester Owners Club, Bentley Drivers Club, Aston Martin Driver Club and Supercar Gathering will make the Gold Cup 2015 even more exciting. Cars valued at over $5,000,000,000 will be showcased on the prestige car parade that will take place before the main game.
In its 10th year, the Gold Cup sees an elite list of guests, including dignitaries, Polo professionals and Showjumpers, Sydney Polo Club associates, celebrities, bloggers and the local community. Sponsors of the Gold Cup 2015 include Rhonda Hemmingway, Mortgage Choice, MJ Bale, Canturi, Rolls Royce, Maui Jim, Robert Cliff Master Jewelers, Doyle Wilson and PWC Pricewaterhousecoopers Australia, DDC architects. Several Olympians will also attend the event, which is expected to bring additional 280 polo horses to the Club. Guests will be given a chance to explore the course with one of these icons.
This year’s Country Couture theme is also expected to bring a remarkable day of hospitality and equestrian excellence and a whole new range of fashionable boots, outdoor couture wear, and hats. Aside from the sports competition, guests will enjoy amazing bonuses from Sydney Polo Club and its sponsors. One lucky bride will get the chance to win a wedding giveaway worth $15,000. Renowned bridal and evening wear designer Rhonda Hemmingway will create a custom bridal couture gown worth $10,000 for the lucky bride. A customised wedding jewellery piece worth $5,000 will be created by Robert Cliff Master Jewellers to complete the gown. Rhonda will be showcasing 10 of her spectacular gowns on a runway in the half time entertainment.
Gates will open at 10 am. General admission costs $15 per person and includes entry to the venue and access to gourmet food & bar and Fashions On The Field. Admission to the Picnic Pavilion Marquee costs $100 per person and includes access to lounge and seating areas, standard alcoholic beverages, DJ, entertainment, market umbrellas, food stalls and Fashions On The Field.
For the prestigious VIP Lounge, tickets are $275. Guests are given access to Fashions On The Field, grazing stations and canapés all day, lucky door prize, private bar, Polo lounge areas garden furniture, large outdoor market umbrellas in the VIP area, tables and a meet and greet with international polo players.
Boot parking costs $110 per vehicle and includes access to Fashions On The Field, food vans and private car boot space.
